Workplace Solutions and University of New Orleans partner on Steelcase Pilot Classroom Program
Active Learning environments is a growing trend within the K-12 and Higher Education segments, and University of New Orleans is now able to test this teaching and learning style starting this fall. Utilizing a pilot classroom program through Steelcase, Workplace Solutions and University of New Orleans came together to create a classroom that is generating buzz throughout campus.
The Steelcase Pilot Classroom program is a one-time offer of new classroom furniture at a substantially discounted price to “test” these new Active Learning styles. This program includes webinars for the professors/teachers to discuss Active Learning and how to implement. There is also a pre-installation survey for faculty and also students that will later be compared to a follow up survey, with the intentions to show the impact of the change that occurred in the classroom.
